Ruth Koleva presents “Kiss My Attitude” at the largest music conference in the world
Ruth Koleva will present “Kiss My Attitude” at one of the most important art forums in the world. Ruth is the only participant from Bulgaria, with an invitation to a concert, in the music program of South by Southwest-conference & festivals (March 11-20 in Austin, Texas).
The festival and the conference return to it after a long covid break, as one of the most anticipated events in the art world, and the participation of the Bulgarian is on March 19 – the day after the premiere of “Kiss My Attitude”.
In addition to her new song, Ruth Koleva will include in the concert hits that have established her on the world stage. Audiences will hear “Salty”, “Wassup”, “Candy Coated”, “All The Guys” and “Beyond Borders”, which is already on the list of Jazz FM UK – the largest jazz radio in the world. Among the guests is expected to be Maria Bakalova, who will also be in Texas to present “Women Really Cry” in the film section of the festival.
Simultaneously with the international premiere of the song “Kiss My Attitude”, the video for the project became part of the selection of the Berlin Music Video Awards. The video, created with the support of NFC, is included in the 10th anniversary edition of the event, and the results will be clear between June 8 and 11, 2022.
The video for “Kiss My Attitude” brings together Ruth Koleva for the fifth time with director Georgi Manov and for the third time with cameraman Alexander Stanishev. The photos are taken in a picturesque area around Sofia, but as the team notes – the place is so surreal that it could not fit into geographical or temporal frames.
For the music, the singer again relies on the already established dream team, in the person of Georgi Linev – Kan Wakan and Iliana Nedyalkova. The result is a song that Ruth herself describes as very important in her career: “Kiss My Attitude” is part of my new album and a consequence of my long-term partnership with Sofia Pride and my commitment to LGBT people. The text touches on that personal worldview, that courage to express yourself and be yourself when you understand who you are and the opinion of others does not interest you. In fact, we tell a very beautiful, natural story, albeit according to some, an unusual story.
