BG Music Festival 2026 turned Kyustendil into the home of Independent Bulgarian music
The fifth anniversary edition of BG Music Festival 2026 brought together hundreds of residents and visitors to Kyustendil in the park in front of the Drama Theatre. Dedicated to supporting and promoting independent Bulgarian artists, the festival once again established itself as one of the most anticipated music events of the summer. Under the open sky, the audience welcomed their favorite performers with enthusiastic applause, dancing, and heartfelt emotions, transforming the festival evening into a true celebration of Bulgarian music.
The stage came alive with remarkable performances by MINNA, Anton Kottas, IVE, Tsveti Radoycheva, Rally Spassova, MORENO & Beatris, Elitsa Naumova, Bozhidara Simeonova, Boris Iliev, and the duo Expose. Each artist performed both their well-known hits and their latest musical projects, which were met with thunderous applause and created an unforgettable atmosphere. Throughout the evening, the audience sang and danced along with their favorite performers, filling the summer night with excitement and positive energy.
The dancers of New Ex Dance Group, led by Desislava Valkova, added even more energy and spectacular visual appeal to the show with their dynamic choreography.
A special guest at the event was the Mayor of Kyustendil Municipality, Eng. Ognyan Atanasov, who emphasized the importance of such events for the city’s cultural life and expressed his support for independent Bulgarian artists.
“It is extremely important for us to provide a stage for independent Bulgarian artists who put their heart and soul into their work. This has always been one of our main missions. Seeing the incredible support from the audience motivates us to make future editions even bigger and to create an even larger platform for independent performers,” the festival organizers shared.
The event was hosted by Bozhidara Simeonova.
