A New Wave of Bulgarian Music Takes Over Kyustendil: The 5th Anniversary Edition of BG Music Festival
On August 1 (Saturday) at 8:00 PM, the park in front of the Drama Theatre in Kyustendil will become the epicenter of Bulgaria’s contemporary independent music scene. The 5th Anniversary Edition of BG Music Festival 2026 promises an unforgettable musical experience featuring a rich program, a modern sound, and an impressive diversity of genres.
Over the years, the festival has established itself as one of the country’s leading platforms for showcasing and promoting independent Bulgarian artists. Its mission remains unchanged—to support independent Bulgarian music by creating opportunities for talented performers to connect with their audiences in an atmosphere filled with energy and inspiration.
Taking the stage in Kyustendil will be some of the most popular names from Bulgaria’s contemporary pop scene: Tsveti Radoycheva, Rally Spassova, Bozhidara Simeonova, IVE, Anton Kottas, MINNA, Elitsa Naumova, Moreno & Beatris, Boris Iliev and Expose duet.
The spectacular dance performances will be presented by New Ex Dance Group and choreographer Desislava Valkova, whose dynamic choreography and striking stage production will perfectly complement the festival’s musical program.
The anniversary edition will be hosted by the charismatic Bozhidara Simeonova, who will also surprise the audience with live performances of her latest songs.
Festival-goers can look forward to an outstanding combination of high-quality pop music, contemporary choreography, professional stage production, and unforgettable emotions.
