DARA wins the 70th anniversary Eurovision 2026 with “Bangaranga”

Bulgaria has written its name in gold in Eurovision history after DARA delivered the country’s very first victory at the 70th anniversary edition of the contest. With her spectacular performance of “Bangaranga”, the Bulgarian star conquered both the international jury and millions of viewers across Europe, becoming the undisputed winner of the night.
From the very first seconds of the show, DARA showcased world-class artistry — modern staging, explosive energy, and a vocal performance that completely electrified the arena. “Bangaranga” quickly became the standout favorite during rehearsals, but the final result exceeded even the boldest expectations.

What makes this victory even more remarkable is the fact that, for the first time in years, the votes of the professional jury and the public matched completely. DARA topped both rankings, an extremely rare achievement in modern Eurovision history and undeniable proof of the scale of her success.
Even more historic was the enormous points gap between Bulgaria and the rest of the competition. Such a dominant winning margin has not been seen in years, with DARA setting a new benchmark for supremacy on the Eurovision stage. When the final points were announced, the arena erupted in applause while social media exploded with reactions from fans all across Europe.

This victory marks Bulgaria’s greatest achievement in the history of the contest and comes after years of anticipation, strong performances, and near misses. With “Bangaranga,” DARA did not simply win Eurovision — she created a musical moment that will forever remain part of European music history.
Bulgaria now looks ahead to Eurovision 2027, which the country will have the honor of hosting for the very first time.
