One of the Balkans’ most acclaimed artists – Zeljko Joksimovic, has surprised fans with a fresh new version of one of his beloved songs. The singer-songwriter has released “Brate Moj – Summer Vibe ’26”, giving the track a modern sound and a brand-new visual identity designed for the summer season and titled it “K’o da ne postojim”.
The project was inspired by the overwhelming reaction Joksimovic received after sharing a recent video online. The artist revealed that hundreds of messages from fans made him realize just how much people still love the song.
“Dear friends, what a rollercoaster I’ve experienced after my last video. I received hundreds of messages and realized that you are still listening to and loving the song ‘Brate Moj’, which I thought had been forgotten. I literally couldn’t sleep for several days. I re-recorded this old hit, and now here it is – ‘Brate Moj – Summer Vibe ’26’! A new sound (many thanks to Darko Dimitrov). We also carried out a small experiment – for the first time, we combined my video footage with AI, and that’s how the music video was created. For me, this is a new breath, new energy, and fresh inspiration. I can’t wait to read your comments. Let me know which song we should rework next so it’s ready for this summer and some amazing DJ sets.”, shared Zeljko Joksimovic in his social media.
The new version features an updated production by renowned producer Darko Dimitrov, bringing a contemporary summer vibe while preserving the emotional essence that made the original song a fan favorite.
Adding another innovative dimension to the project, the accompanying music video combines traditional video footage with artificial intelligence-generated visuals. The creative experiment marks a first for Joksimovic and reflects his willingness to embrace new technologies while maintaining the authenticity and emotion that define his music.
