ALMA disobedient in her new project “My Mama Told Me”

Although only 17, ALMA continues to dominate the audience with its talent and recognizable vocals, as well as to achieve new successes for her music career. Only for the last few months among them were the award “Debut of the Year” from the Annual Music Awards of BG Radio, nomination for “Performer of the Year”, author’s participation in the international project of the hitmaker Coyot – “Devil in Disguise” and a 16-week stay of her latest song “Be Alright” in the TOP 10 ranking of the most broadcast songs of Bulgarian artists on the national air.

Now it’s her fifth solo single, jokingly titled “My Mama Told Me” – a song about the rebellion of youth and the mistakes young people make while searching for their identity. ALMA created “My Mama Told Me” with Pavel Nikolov from the hip-hop duo Pavell & Venci Venc’ in just one studio session. The two like working together, especially after their joint project “Adres”.

In “My Mama Told Me” there are two faces of ALMA – one sharper and the other irresistibly melancholic. The song comes out with a video, shot in an empty school and directed by Dimitris Georgiev, with whom ALMA also works on the videos for “Perfect” and “Don’t Know”. In the beautiful visualization of “My Mama Told Me”, ALMA wakes up in a dream in which she and her dancing shadows draw an inner world, where thoughts of kindness, parental advice, rebellion against instructions and the attractiveness of everything on the edge collide.
