“Ugly Cry” is Victoria’s new video

The Bulgarian hope of Eurovision 2021 Victoria presented her new music video. “Ugly Cry” is one of the songs with which Bulgaria can take part in the most spectacular music competition in the world. This was confirmed by the singer herself with a post on Instagram. According to the rules of the contest, any song released after September 1 can take part in May, when nearly 200 million people will stare at the artists of Eurovision 2021.

The Bulgarian delegation and Victoria’s team will use again the proven method for internal selection of the song. He was the prerequisite for Bulgaria to achieve some of its greatest successes in the competition. The final decision will be announced in March.

The song “Ugly Cry” was created during the Eurovision Song Contest in London. For the music video Victoria again works with the talented director Viktoria Karakoleva and the experienced cameraman Rosen Savkov, with whom she shot her previous two projects. This is one of the largest productions that were realized in Bulgaria in 2020. The song and the video for it tell about the hard side of fame and the price of keeping yourself.

Victoria shares about the music video: “There is a lot of work behind the realization of this video. It took us more than 18 hours to film everything we had planned. I think it’s important to thank first of all our friends from iCard, who made this project possible and the producers of the video from Ligna Studios, Four Elementz and MatchPoint Productions. Such large-scale photos in a global pandemic are not easy at all, but we did it and I am very proud of it! ”

The impressive choreography in the video is the work of Deyan Georgiev, and the production includes over 15 dancers. Victoria’s style in the video is taken care of by the talented stylist Grozdan Mihailov, who is also behind her visions from the Eurovision video “Tears Getting Sober”. The spectacular sets in the video are part of the studios of UFO Film and Television Studio – one of the most modern in Bulgaria.

Meanwhile, the organizers of the European Union for Radio and Television announced that the lottery from 2020 will be used for the next edition of the competition, which means that Victoria and Bulgaria will take part in the second semifinal on May 20th. Eurovision 2021 will be held on May 18, 20 and 22 in the Dutch city of Rotterdam.
