Iva and Velislava Kostadinovi sang about boundless love

“Moyata obich” (“My Love”) performed by Iva and Velislava Kostadinovi is the first song from Diapason Records’ project “Folk Fusion: New Sounds of Bulgarian Folklore”, which brings together eight original songs in pop-ethno style with elements of Bulgarian folklore. The project aims to enrich the cultural content of the Bulgarian music industry and attract the attention of young audiences both in Bulgaria and across Europe. The creative team includes established composers, arrangers, and lyricists, while the songs are performed by renowned artists with released albums, numerous awards, and dozens of appearances at various cultural events. The project is realized with financial support from the EU (Next Generation) through NPVR – BG-RRP-11.020-0061-C01.

The premiere of the video for “Moyata obich” took place simultaneously on the four television channels Fen TV, Balkanika Music Television, Fen Folk TV, and BG Music Channel.
The song “Moyata obich” is dedicated to a woman’s boundless love for a man – the deep feelings and emotions and everything a loving woman is ready to give to her beloved.

“We created ‘Moyata obich during one of the most interesting periods of our lives, when I was pregnant. Svetlyo (Svetlin Kaslev) started with the idea for the melody line, and because of my condition I was simply overflowing with inspiration. I managed to contribute many fresh ideas and take part in composing the music. I recorded my own lyrics for the demo, which we gave to Hristina Dimova, and she wrote an entirely new text, preserving the idea but expressing more deeply the strength and beauty of a woman’s love. Love is everything you are ready to do for your beloved. Love is a driving force and if it is true, the world becomes more beautiful and better!” shared Iva Kostadinova.

“That love – pure, fragile, tender, yet at the same time strong and passionate, the kind that gives meaning to life, brightens your days, and makes you fly, that doesn’t take but only gives. Because Iva was pregnant, we also connect this song with the arrival of the youngest member of our family, because he is the embodiment of exactly this love we sing about,” added Velislava Kostadinova.

The kaval is once again performed by Georgi Dobrev, who together with Svetlin Kaslev combines authentic folk phrases with more modern ones, creating a stylish and meaningful sound.

The video production is entirely the work of Stefan Marinov – Buddubbazz Tape Company. The sisters have been working with him for nearly 6–7 years on songs with a different sound. He always leaves his artistic signature in the most elegant way, combining the artists’ wishes with his own unique ideas.

The video features dancer Miroslav Gavrilov, whose performance adds another beautiful accent. He is part of the Representative Ensemble of the Armed Forces at the National Guard Unit, where Iva and Velislava Kostadinovi are soloists.

For their distinctive look and the styling of everyone in the video, the sisters once again turned to one of Bulgaria’s top stylists – Antoniya Yordanova, with whom they have already completed several projects. They openly say they are great admirers of her work.

With this song, Iva and Velislava Kostadinovi hope to delight their fans with a different sound and messages that touch every heart.
